The vet receptionist taught me a great trick to get a cat to take a pill:
Hold cat in lap.
Love on cat until cat is blissed out.
Quickly shove pill down cat’s throat.
Look around wildly and say “Who did that?” while continuing to pet kitty in a comforting way.

David makes this lasagne dish that is, simply put, the Platonic ideal of pasta. Spinach lasagne noodles, three kinds of mushrooms, port wine sauce, a couple of kinds of yummy cheese (NOT mozzarella or parmesan). It is heavenly in every bite. He made it tonight. I swoon.
