Despite the packed outdoor stadium, the hype and the hoopla, Obama’s acceptance speech was disappointing.
I watched most of Hillary’s speech to the delegates and she was articulate, gracious and fiery. I didn’t see anything else of the convention until Joe Biden’s weirdly unenthusiastic 15 minutes.

Shara is a pre-teen no longer. At 2:30ish this am she graduated to full-teen: 13.
To celebrate, we played a round of mini-golf, shopped for school clothes, and are having a barbecue at Stephanie & Mark’s house. There will be cake. And presents. She’s having a great day.
